last week of NFL presents opportunities.

Say if team A beats team B in an early game, they gain position over team C ( playing later), team C has nothing to play for after A wins ( they get last seed).

An A,D parlay is then related as C won't play starters.

Are you parlaying heavy chalk ?

If so, I still don't like taking worse lines, which you must be doing.

Dub, how about posting every parlay bet you make for awhile, just to see how effective you are?

Pinnacle changes the prices in parlay bets. They must fear the parlay bettor. Don't know.

Provided you're getting the best available lines and "true odds" on parlays, parlays are no different in long term expectation than straight bets. They're simply higher variance. The problem is that most parlay bettors either 1) could get a better line on one of the legs from shopping, 2) don't get true odds, or 3) use the parlay as an "excuse" to make negative expectation bets, i.e. parlaying big chalk moneylines.

Probably over stating it

But, I don't know anyone who makes their living wagering who does not bet some parlays...

There are too many times to bet them:

Correlations
3 teamers paying 7:1 or 2 teamers at 2.84/1
Matchplays

About 15% of my plays are parlays.

I never ever bet a non correlated 2.6 or 6/1 parlay.

Cardfather and Sean are obviously no amatuers which is evidenced by their posts in this thread, something I have known about both of them for quite some time.

It has worked for me in certain situations, as I have always been streaky. Haven't played as many mlb parlays, but have absolutely killed the last few years with NFL parlays.
I am sure evryone is different and I doubt if there is a cut and dried rule of thumb. I guess everyone has a different comfort level for certain types of wagering and if you aren't comfortable with it, then I do not think you will fair as well.

If you get 7-1 odds you only need one play to have a 51% chance and the other 2 at 50/50 for it to be profitable.

Really, I didn't know that, lol.
