where in FL do u live?

I am in NW Broward

I like living in a bigger City. That’s me though

I'd be in the ballpark of about 2 hours north of you then. Sebastian, FL (in between Melbourne and Fort Pierce on the east coast) And I get it, some people like the big cities, I'm just not one of those people. Don't get me wrong I'd love to be able to get some Chinese food or good pizza at 1 am and thats just not an option where I live and I'm sure stuff like that is easier to come by in a big city. I feel like I'd end up murdering people in traffic if I had to deal with that on a daily basis down there though. I do enjoy getting out of town for the weekend with the wife and driving 90 minutes away to hang out in one of those cities for a couple of days but It's just not my thing everyday. I own a pest control business and I go as far south as Palm City/ Stuart area a couple days a month and even the traffic in those places drives me nuts.

passes through Sebastian many of time. I know many people who LOVE going there to surf. Actually know someone who just bought a home up there.

traffic does suck as I commuted for years but now not that bad as I don’t do highway driving anymore.

schools and youth sports are awesome here. Plus We have a ton of stuff to do and eat within 5 miles from my house.

I’m in the suburbs

Yeah i could maybe do living outside the city by 15-20 minutes or so. There are times I wished I lived slightly closer to some of the bigger cities cause they certainly have their advantages. I'm a fairly boring guy as far as going out drinking and stuff like that but I would like to have more food options that are open later, which I don't really get here. To give you an idea how much I like food, two years ago me and 3 friends flew to Austin, Texas for no other reason than to eat BBQ. So yeah, having more/ better food in my immediate area would be nice.

Cali has almost double the population of Fla. And Florida is just stuffed with old folks from the North, maybe explains that.

Nothing beats So Cal weather near the coast. The humidity (and the bugs that come with it) in Florida just downright sucks.

With that being said there is no way I would pick California over Florida due to the politics and high taxes. No matter what the difference in weather.

The stat was per million of population.......so the fact that California has twice the population doesn't change the fact that Florida has had almost twice as many deaths.
