what were we complaining about in this thread again? JAIL TIME AND $ 1,000 FINES (just another source of revenue for politicians, probably built it in to their budget)
the idea of possible jail time for plastic straws was brilliant. without ever
incarcerating anyone, the parties that wanted this ban have managed
to raise public awareness on this topic to a new level. I actually heard
this topic on the radio, saw a bit on TV news, and found it mentioned
on a gambling forum. amazing.

the wall should be the last straw. seriously, should we do a few
little things now because they are relatively easy, do not mess up
the economy, and raise awareness about the environment; or should
we do nothing because our society has other priorities and some of
these small things really won't matter much?
