To me the over looks like the best play, BYU doesn't stop anybody and AF's pass defense is mediocre at best, 51 isn't a lot of points if you ask me, this could be another MWC pinball game.

5-0 SAT,

I too watched every play of the Utah vs. Air Force game and saw the game just as you did...unfortunately there will always be some people that see the game with rose tinted glasses, and until those people learn a little big more about handicapping it's going to be hard for them to make money long term in capping...good analysis bud...

Pags,
I second that. I feel that it's not always about who dominates the game, because a team could always get a backdoor. Bottom line is... you try to take a game that you think has the best chance of winning SU (if a dog) and covering by more than a backdoor (if a favorite). Stats do tell a very good story of a team. For instance, when Vandy played UGA, everyone was saying Vandy was last against the run and blah blah blah. Little did everyone look at UGA's stats on turnovers and penalties. If you turnover the ball that many times in a game and the opponent takes care of their ball, who do you think will cover? Well coached ball clubs that execute well (T.O. margin & penalties) will most times cover games. It also helps if you have a good QB. But 3rd down conversions also play a big factor. I could spend hours on this subject.

If you ask me... AF wins this SU!

as always...aloha.

Air Force is 3-11 ats the week following Colorado St. which is considered one of thier biggest rivals. Just something to think about
So you are going back to 1994 to dig up a reason to bet or not bet on AF. Totally irrelevant to this game. :ohno:
