Play GM for a second Jake....Would you send Gore, Shaun Hill and the #10 for Cutler straight up?

Not a chance in hell and no way it would take anything more then the #10 by itself IMO.

If it comes down to draft picks alone (And I don't think it will)....It will be at least a first and 3rd this year and a first in 2010.

Cutler was the least of Denver's worries in last seasons collapse. That defense let them down all year.

I could be wrong here but didn't McDaniels say back when he got the job that part of the reason he took it was to work with Cutler. And then the first thing he tries to do is move him. I think that would piss me off a little if I was Cutler to. And after that McDaniles still lied to him about the trade. Maybe just Maybe Cutler would've taken the trade talk a little better if he wasn't told he was the guy and then lied to about it.

Also I'm tired of hearing Cutler is 17-20 as a starter. Yes he is but his defense is horrible. When the Broncos give up 22 or less points he is 12-1 as the starter. And 22 points is like 16th in the league. So if their defense was just O.K. insted of almost dead last in the entire NFL, Denver would've had a much better record.

Poor baby Cutler's FEELINGS were hurt.

Boo-fucking-hoo

Cry me a river

PS: For the delusional GMs who think Cutler is worth a first rounder and more Cassel's trade set the bar at the 34th pick. Cutler might be better but Denver has no leverage.

Denver has ALL the leverage.

#1 There are 10+ QB hungry teams out there where JC would be an instant upgrade talent wise. And if the Washington rumors are true..Denver can play Snyder like a fiddle like they always have to drive the price up.

#2 Just because Bowlen said that they "will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded.” Doesn't mean that they actually have to pull the trigger on sh!t value if they don't want. Cutler is only due a little over a million this year and is under contract through 2011. They could let him waste away on the bench if they really wanted to stick it to him. How much money does Cook think his client would be worth as a 29 Y.O free agent who hasn't thrown a pass in 3 years?

Not that that would ever happen because Bowlen is too smart for that and knows his trade value as a whiny, mopey, Type I diabetic who likes his booze will never be higher.

Like I said, I doubt he goes for picks alone but if he does it will be for two 1st's and a 3rd. More likely though is a project QB to Compete with Simms, an established D-lineman, amd a first round pick.

Denver has leverage right now but the longer this thing goes the less they have. If we are into preseason and Cutler is still sitting out than Denver's leverage goes way down. If they want to trade him they need to do it now. Or at least no later than during the draft. I don't think they get 2 first and a 3rd for him though. teams are awful fond of draft picks these days. That being said as a tampa fan I'd give this years 1st and 3rd and next years 1st for a guy that will be the QB for the next 12 years, but I doubt tampa would do that.

They'll be lucky to get a first.

NOBODY has cap space anymore, so getting Cutler would mean (a) giving up a pick and (b) cutting someone to make cap room.

Randy Moss was a 4th round pick ... Cassel was a 2nd rounder ... teams don't give up first rounders for players who have to be traded .. especially high-maintenance cry-babies.

Yeah. Skins will get him and then 2010 season Shanahan will replace Zorn.

cap space doesn't matter. teams will find a way around it. Look at Washington when they signed Haynesworth. It might hurt them in the future with dead money but teams can get around it to an extent. By the way Tampa is about 60 mil under the cap right now.

BTW, "a No. 3 pick this year" means a 3rd round pick. Bears don't have the 3rd pick in the first round. Basically they moved down from a 3rd rounder to a 5th rounder.
