A bad beat is one you clearly remember the most several years later..........I once had an underdog in college football score 28 Points in the 4th Quarter (game was tied going in the 4th Quarter) and I was getting 4.5 and they were outscored 7-0 in overtime.......On top of that, my team was up 14 points two different times in the 4th Quarter to make it worse....And of course an onside kick was recovered by the other team late in the 4th Quarter to help tie it up....It was such a bad beat that I wasn't even mad...........It was pure shock for hours...........Then all I could do was laugh and say how did that even happen
Worst beat for me this year was at the end of a UC Davis/Hawaii game. I had hawaii +1.5 for the 2h. Hawaii was up 11 at the break. The score was 84-70 with :02 left and Hawaii commited a shooting foul. No big deal right? Well fuk me! As UCD shoots and makes the first FT someone from the stands throws a water bottle onto the court. Instant tech as this is the 2nd time this happened in the game. UCD makes both tech FT's. Now original FT shooter steps back to the line to shoot his 2nd FT. But before he shoots it the whistle blows and there is another tech on Hawaii, one of the players was mouthing off to the ref as they were walking back to the line. In the end UCD made all SIX of their fukin free throws with :02 remaining thus giving me my worst beat of the year. FML
Yeah I took it in the shorts too. I was thinking at the end there my best chance was to have Butler attempt a 3 and not make it but nooooo, that Butler player opted for an easy walk for the 2 instead. Have some damn pride and try to cut the lead by 2 and lose instead of losing by 3! He should've went for the 3. I bet if that ND player made his free throws Butler would've went for the 3 instead of an easy walk for the 2. Then he probably would've made the 3. Just my luck.
The game was over, and everybody knew it. So the kid went in for the uncontested dunk, we've seen this many times. HamGlaze, your comment is laughable. Shoot a 3 so you lose by 1 less point. Its still a loss.
It was a tough beat either way. I agree with the bukis1, when the game goes into OT having the dog not cover is a tough beat.

A bad beat was having WKU in a bowl game this year (I think that is who) up by a gazillion to give up a shit load of points in final five minutes. A. WKU was throwing the football and not killing clock. B. They gave up a 70 some yard crazy play with 1 second on clock. C. They were favored by 3 and team who scored went for 2.
