Well that was a quick night of boxing! R. Marquez got the TKO early in the fight and J. Lacy took out Pemberton in rd 2. Makes up plus more for the loss I took on J. Codrington last night.

On a side note, Lacy sure is wild. Anybody think Winky could move up and pick him apart?

Lacy's way too big and way too strong for Winky who just moved up to 160 to fight another blown up light-middle in Trinidad. Lacy's about to move up to 175, he's just too strong for Winky.

Well, I didn't do so well on small plays, but I made a sh*tload on Lacy

Huge night

True, I would still like to see him in there with a technician though. I was hoping a 168 match up but we shall see.

Syd Vanderpool is pretty good technician, the fight was very close untill Lacy caught him with a huge uppercut and finished the show.

I think Lacy would struggle against Kessler and Calzaghe, but thats about it at 168. Tarvers height, reach, size, and southpaw stance would probably be too much for Lacy. But Tarver is 35 and on the way down so if Lacy can take a 175 lb straight left hand he could overwelm Tarver.

Lacy is definitly wide and wild, most of his ko's have come from wide left hooks and overhand rights to the side of the head. Except Vanderpool, which was a beautiful uppercut that Syd never recovered from.

A tall, straight punching technician can beat Lacy...if they can take those bombs to the temple.

Yeah Syd did hang in there until he got caught. The only person I've been impressed with fighting Lacy was the boxer from Detroit I believe. Can't remember his name off the top of my head but he was able to take punches with Lacy and trade with him before Lacy overwhelmed him with his power and aggressiveness. Funny you mentioned Calzaghe, why is the guy dodging Lacy?? Must be the power, eh?

Rubin Williams

Hell, Donnell Wiggens gave Lacy trouble a while back

Sheika did a lot of holding, but he also landed plenty of straight rights against Lacy...Ruiz style...lol

Yeah that was his name Rubin Williams. What do you think about Klits backing out of the fight AGAIN with a injury? Don't know why Klits doesn't go in there and KO Rahman to be through with it. Hell feels like he hasn't fought in a decade

Last I checked, Klit was cleared to fight despite the injured knee

The fight is still on for now, but you know how that goes, esp in this case

They were talking about it last night at Doghouse Boxing and here's the confirmation. Heavyweights suck right now and I have completely lost interest in them. Maybe I should pull the gloves out, dust 'em off and give it a go!

all in favor of dissolving the heavyweight division, say "aye"... :biggrinin

pemberton was...as advertised..a protected hometown guy...that didn`t belong in the ring with lacy...

mabuza,imo,was a major disappointment.....marquez is the consumate pro...well rounded....boxer/brutal puncher......all business...

don`t know what i was thinking...

klitschko?.....put him in a straight jacket until the next rahman postponement..replete with leg irons(comfy ones...not like that nasty knee brace).....of course that won`t preclude a root canal or possibly someone sneaking in and giving him some "intense" noogies....

hey...life`s tough...:sadbb:

tony montana.....wtf is going on with vitali????

I already have both of 'em in my top 10

I hope the Skelton-McBride fight goes down (I got Skelton at -325)

Last I heard the fight was hanging in the balance
