the 'my children and grandchildren will have to pay' phrase probably dates farther back but I'd say Ross Perot for one deserves some credit there. This is not a new argument. It's always the idea that's conveyed when discussing balooning deficits. Perot came along and swooped in last time the deficits balooned...seems to me the opportunity is there again...I imagine someone will take up the cause again. I support the Perot movement back in '92 not becasue I liked the guy but because I liked a lot of what he stood for and his ideas. Actually the reason why I felt I could support his candidacy as because I knew he wouldn;t be elected but the more votes he got the more his platform would have to be respected...and I think a lot of it was respected in the early Clinton years.
