UM, you make some valid points. But I could've seen this develop into the biggest man hunt in history. Or at least in the history of the USA. but it hasn't. A large amount of the focus went toward Iraq. I think it's great that Saddam is out of power. But our number 1 priority should've been to get the son of a b**** that was behind killing 2,000 people on our soil.

Again as you say "thats just me".

Honestly, with the total bounty on OBL running close to $ 50 million at one point, it's hard to believe he's even alive, let alone successfully hiding out anywhere. Honestly, if I had the sort of contacts necessary to put together a decent merc crew I'd be making this very post from Karachi or Khost, waiting for the morning reports from the field to come in.

Hard to believe with all of the former CIA, KGB, mujahadeen, etc. free ranging it these days that none of them has gone after the reward money.

Gameface, if you believe Bush is a lock for President. Than you should gather all your money, go open an account at Pinancle, and bet it all at the odds of minus 121 for you man.
Yea, I doubt you will, because, there are no " LOCKS"

You can't tell me that with the sophistication of our intelligence, that theres a human alive that could ellude us for almost 3 years

Did you ever hear of Whitey Bulger? They've been looking for him for 7 years and he's an old white guy who isn't hiding in caves. Maybe you think Bush has caught him and is waiting until just before the election to bring him out just like your hero Madeline Halfbright commented.

Sonny,
I'll have my money where my mouth is. I'm waiting for the line to be beat down further by the radical left wing media. I'll have 5 dimes on Bush. I wonder how many of you will put 5 dimes on Kerry. It's a lock and easy to see you just have stop sipping the cool aid.

Yes I have. But plesae don't tell me you are trying to compare a gangster (Whitey Bulger) to Osama bin Laden. Talk about apples and oranges.

Bunyon,

You said we could catch ANYONE...my point is in the comparison is it AINT that simple. If it was so easy we would have nabbed Whitey who is also on the FBI most wanted. And let's give the Bush admin some credit for capturing or killing 2/3 of the leadership of Al Qaeda.

I figure we would go after someone like bin Laden with a little more sense of urgency than a Whitey Bulger. In that sense they are not comparable. Bulger has been involved in what...19 murders in the Boston area? 19 murders is nothing to sneeze at, but when compared to 2,000 on 9-11 and countless more around the world....

I do give the Administration credit for the members of Al Qaeda they have caught. But you know as well as I that until we get the "Big Fish" we can't be at ease.

As far as the title of this thread goes, even though I'm not a Bush supporter, I don't think Kerry can beat him.

Bunyon,

I'm sure the Bush admin is doing everything possible to catch the guy...the thing is he may be dead already...who the f_ck knows? The key thing is to keep screwing up his organization as much as possible...we must be doing something right if they haven't hit us since 9/11 because you know they would if they could!

Even if we caught him the left would claim we had him all along and Bush is just doing it for political purposes...or they would claim that his #2 guy is the real brains behind the operation..Osama is just a figure head.

I'm not so sure that just because we haven't been attacked in 3 years means much. An attack such as 9-11 is probably several years in the making. However, unlike most Dems, I don't put the full responsibility on the Bush Administration. I'll tell it like it is no matter who it hurts. I think the Clinton Administration is to blame to a certain extent as well. I thought they missed several chances to "short circuit" al Qaeda or at leaset slow them down. I'm sure both administrations would do certain things differently if given the chance to do it again.

1)OBL is dead, killed by a bunker-buster some time ago. The myth that he's alive is useful to the powers in charge, it's like a fuel-cell for their particular brand of propaganda.

2)Bush will win because Diebold and others have rigged the voting process, you no longer live in a democracy, this should have been made clear to anyone with a brain when the 2000 election was rigged by FL/Bush family and the Supreme court.

3)The Bush family and Neocons don't care about you, they are making bigger plays on a bigger stage. You can root for them all you want here or elsewhere, but you are in the eyes of George Bush Sr., an "OFU", his documented term for all the little guys out there eating his shit every day and calling it fine cuisine. One Fodder Unit.

Not one recount of the recount shows that Gore won. The facts mean nothing to liberals. Liberals believe repeat the lie over and over and idiots will believe it to be true. It doesn't make it true just because some of you repeat the lie that Gore won the election.

Gameface, depends how you look at a possible recount. An extremely high % of spoiled ballots were in largely African-American counties in Florida. If you simply run any reasonable calculation of hwo those votes would have gone, based on countywide reuslts, Gore won it quite easily if those votes would have counted. Put it this way: more people in Florida tried to vote for Gore than tried to vote for Bush. Many more of those who tried to vote for Gore had their votes not counted for one reason or another.

D2,

It's impossible to say more voters intended to vote for Gore. It's impossible to know what the voters intended to do

There's ZERO evidence to support any valid voter was denied the right to vote.

D2,
The media calling the race early in Florida cost Bush far more than the spoiled votes theory. The flaw in this line of thinking is Gore and Dems wanted to recount heavy dem counties to throw it in their favor. If you go thru the long drawn out exercise of trying to guess what a voter indeeded to do in every county it's likely to even out and Bush still wins. Every recount has shown Bush to be the winner.

I voted for Gore & would again if he had ran. This is the way I look at the Florida fiasco.....Florida never should've mattered!!

The Gore campaign should've taken care of business in his home state of Tennessee.

More than that.....they ignored West Virginia, a state that has voted Democratic for President ever since I can remember. Gore made "zero" campaign stops in WVa. Bush made 3. Thus the Republicans turned out and the Dems stayed home. WVa only has 5 electoral votes. But transfer those to Gore and Florida is irrelevant.

It has already been proven that all of Bush's reasons for the war were all lies. And the American people are very upset about it

And you think Bush is going to win?

I seriously doubt it.

GAMEFACE

One things for sure, he's showing some emotion now. Had he shown a little of that during the 2000 campaign he might be President.
