Tony Dungy is an idiot. Trust me

As a Bucs fan I'll give ya the rundown on Dungy.

Pretty well knows talent when he sees it as he & Rich McKay built that Bucs Dynasty -Defense.

But, he doesn't know how to you use the talent at hand.

Hence the reason you saw Gruden take over that talent & win a Super Bowl with it his first year as Bucs coach just before the window closed.

A shame that D & team went so many years without winning more than 1 championship because of Dungy & his over conservative ways...

Possibly the most racist and ignorant statement ever posted on a sports forum....not an attack on your character but just an ignorant statement....

This the training of the (no) American educational system. No offense to you. But people are trained like a puppy to stimulus and there is no thought involved; re, "you a meanie" ... and there is no evaluation of the argument or the statement provided by the individual.

Take a somewhat similar statement: What owner who has acquired billions would ever field an NBA team with all five white starters or have an all-white NBA team? That team won't win shit!

Now, in your trained American mind that is acceptable. And the funny thing is you would agree after you hear the statement. Aint no way an all-white team is going to win in the NBA. Yet flip the statement around like the above poster and you go into a moral outrage and claim it's an ignorant statement.

This is not an attack on you as an individual. This is an attack on the brainwashed American system. The same goes for "illegal" and "undocumented" immigrants. If you say the word "illegal", then you are racist. Lolz.

Mind control USA.

.....

Back to the player/coach .... Winston has impressed me. Yes, he makes dumb decisions off the field, but I think he's very good as a QB. Lovie Smith? No offense to him, but he is terrible. And no offense to Rex (who names their kid after a dinosaur?), but Grossman was terrible.

how many have their been :think2:

Probably not many. Owners are rich for a reason; not being stupid is reason #1. Cheating on income taxes is Reason #2. If I owned a team, I would never hire or draft someone that couldn't even tell me the square root of 9.

TAMPA BAY VS. INDIANAPOLIS
i
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs are coming off their most impressive showing this season in a rout of the Eagles. The Colts, meanwhile, are vulnerable against the pass, allowing 278.9 yards per game (ranked 29th). Quarterback Jameis Winston can take another step forward if he avoids turnovers and puts up large numbers against a unit that has allowed at least 300 yards passing three times this season. Matt Hasselbeck is a solid replacement for Andrew Luck, but Tampa Bay's defense has allowed just three combined points in the second half in the past two games. Don't look for the Bucs' momentum to stop here. Bucs 27, Colts 21. -- Andrew Astleford

Tampa has a shot to make the playoffs IMO.

They can beat the Colts on the road Sunday me thinks.

Lifetime Bucs fan & I can say I'm happy about how Winston looks lately.

However, I'm not going to overestimate anything he's done because he's receiving a ton of help.

Offensive Coordinator Dirk Koetter is fantastic with the play-calling & probably a future head coach.

Mike Evans & Vincent Jackson make things easy on Winston by going up & catching balls some WR's wouldn't.

Doug Martin is back to form & putting fear into defenders.

And the Offensive Line is a tremendous surprise so far.

Also, honestly there are 3 games the Bucs had absolutely no business winning.

Sometimes as a fan you have to be a realist.

Future looks better than it did after the first couple of weeks, especially with Jameis, but I'd rather wait to get excited when I know it's for real...

Bucs are on the right track, Winston hasn't been perfect, but improving each week. More importantly, the vets are starting to believe in him, and leadership/confidence can be the difference between winning and losing. They are growing as a team, and Winstons leadership is a part of the turnaround, guys are playing for him.

I agree. This team has a lot of upside IMO. If this team could stop getting penalized so much (and at terrible times) they would be even tougher.....per below they have 97 penalties vs. a league average of around 72. Has cost them almost 200 yards vs. the league average. Getting another outlet besides evans with Jackson is big for Jameis as well and should continue to open things up for him....

I stand by everything I said on pg 1. Winston was the clear cut choice for tb. Guys play for Winston vs playing with Marriota. It's a huge distinction. For what he lacks in pure arm talent he makes up in leadership and football smarts.

I think we are getting the better team with points. Both teams have covered 5 of their last 6. Outside of Atlanta, TB has outgained their opponent in everyone of those games. Rookie G Marpet should be back this week. Vontae, Mike Adam, and Constanzo are all listed as questionable. Indy is going to have to run the bal effectively to open the pass game for Hasselback. Over the last 4 weeks the bucs have given up a stingy 3.7 ypc.

My team has been looking for a qb since 2000. Guys like this don't come around often. Enjoy the ride.

wrote[FONT=&quot] last year Jameis Winston deserved to be a starter in the NFL after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Payton will keep him in check. Wont let him throw the ball 50 times a game...

Hopefully Winston realized that not losing the game is just as important as winning it.
(he DIDNT understand it prior to last season
He said something along the lines of 'what do you mean improve, I threw for over 5000 yards, I am balling")

Brady won the SB with the same players Winston had

Obviously Brady is better on many levels but they did make some improvements in their roster
Winston wasn't winning with that team
I really liked him out of college
From what I have seen I don't think it will work out in NO though

He was a LOCK over every game, threw great long passes and also plenty of INT's.

Interesting to see if Payton can hold him to a much more conservative approach, RBs run the ball, short passes, ball control... I actually think it is possible.

We shall see...
