I've seen it twice. The Reader was equally great. What point are you trying to prove here? My two favorite types of filmmaking are Asian and French...I love indie and foreign and everything from the 30s. Let people like what they want. What's the big fucking deal?

Its good to see that im not alone here lol.

I just think its sad that these distributors only focus on a segment of the population, the 12-18 year olds, and there transformers, robocop, terminator movies with no story involved and justspecial effects.

2-3 movies a year like that ok, fine.

1 movie every other week like that, thats a problem.

But I love that those types of films bring in so much money...it allows for the same production companies the ability to finance the lesser, more "Oscar bait" films without the fear of being complete failures.

music industry=more dead then the movie industry.

at least in movies you see some creativity once in awhile. even the indie groups are forced to conform to the major execs wishes to be anyone.
in general the music is trash.

what do i like? pretty much everything except country. nothing that is being produced today outside of the occasional song.

even that though im not crazy over. i like the older music. my all time fave band is RATM and I like old r&b and soul music.

the music industry is the same thing as the movie industry. giant corporations putting out dumbed down music that sells to make money.

lil wayne is the perfect example of that.

the music industry, like the movie industry, caters to 12-18 year olds, its largest buying audience.

just look at the top 10 now. black eyed peas, lil wayne, kiddie rock bands, etc.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

For starters, 12-18 isn't even a standard demo (aka as a cohort)

standard demo is irrelevant. the majority of movie goers are between the ages of 12-18, which is why every movie made these days is a special effects movie with no acting.
