Out of curiosity, how long have u been wagering on golf? I don't know much about it. But wouldn't mind wagering on it depending on how much you know. Thanks for the insight!
Did we win this one? I see him being up right now....
haha, you're making bets you dont even know how to grade, degenerate! @)
Yep, that was a easy 6 stroke winner. de Jonge -2, Thompson +4. Rarely are round matchups that easy, more like 1-3 stroke variance
Sutherland, had a nice opening round of -5 which will keep him in the mix but he is heading over to the more difficult South Course tomorrow. If he is sitting at -8 going into the weekend Ill be happy. Either way with the +24000 odds, that is a bet you cant pass up.
First of all, tail at your own risk. I'm not a professional and the last thing I want is for people to lose money off my selections.
I've been following golf a lot longer than I've been wagering on golf. However in the last three years I've become more serious about betting golf simply because I've become exposed to books that offer a wider range of betting options which gave more likelihood of finding value in their offered match-ups. I use a variety of gauges to determine plays but my top 3 are: current level of play, history at course and public perception.
Most of my plays are match-up plays, full tournament or individual round. I havent had much success with future bets but with value like +24000 I can't pass up, Nathan Green is another at +48500(!)
The reason I see value in Sutherland at +24000 is due to his course history, while he has never won the tournament and he has played in this tournament 16 times, with 4 top 10 finishes. Last 5 years, T-14, T-15, T-35, T-13, T-14
Anyways, GL on what ever action you decide!
