That i didn't know but it makes sense. Funny for these days i have very popular BBQ place by me that only accepts cash. Always been that way for them they been in business for 40 years. Long lines all the time so it doesn't seem to hurt them. Unusual for these times but it works for them. They have an atm in the place for those that don't have the cash and it gets used alot.

i am 60. a few years ago i worked at a place where i worked closely everyday with a 30 year old guy. He would ask me three times a month for 20 or 30 dollars because his wife called him and wanted him to pick up thing at the grocery store and he didn't have his debit card with him.

He never had cash. i don't mean he had like only 5 dollars in cash. No nothing. Never had any cash with him. Drove me crazy. i told him i couldn't live like that. i am a longtime race track guy. i always had minimum hundreds on me at all times race track or not. That is not unusual for young people i see them in stores all the time using debit cards for 3 dollar purchase. in 20 years that generation will have no problem when the goverment wants to go cashless.

God help the future generations

Great original post Stevie. Been hearing "chatter" about cashless for about 35 years now.

Don't forget we're moving toward a "paperless society." I first heard that one in the mid 1980s. :)!/
