If they don't go and the RNC parties it up, libs will accuse them of insensitivity. If they do go, they can accuse them of grandstanding, and if they go and the hurricane doesn't cause much damage, they can accuse them of fear mongering.

If the Republicans benefit politically as a result of this tragedy, so be it. I happen to think it's a good thing...a VERY good thing.
