Looks like the Australians have found a 78 foot "something" at the bottom of the ocean. Would any of these plane parts float almost 2 weeks out from the crash?

Where are you seeing this? The piece is floating.

The 777 is probably made up of composite materials with more than likely a few air pockets that would make it float, along with a few bodies and other debris in there. I was just questioning whether they would float for this expanded period of time. Last night I wasn't sure if the debris was under water or on top of the ocean.

I'm still sticking to my theory of it flying north. More than likely it crashed in the ocean but there is a slight chance of it going north. If it evaded the Malaysian radar and Thailand than there is a chance it could have passed through India's radar and or Pakistan.

Did you come up with that before or after you took off your tin foil hat?

Looks as if they found something:

[h=1]Malaysian prime minister says Flight MH370 ‘ended in the southern Indian Ocean’[/h]

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said Monday that the missing Malaysia Airlines plane was lost in the southern Indian Ocean, effectively removing all hope that it might have survived the still unexplained diversion from its flight path more than two weeks ago.

In a news conference, Najib said new information from satellite data showed that the plane’s last location was “in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth,” a city on Australia’s west coast.

This is a remote location, far from any possible landing site,” Najib said solemnly. “It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.”
He said the families of those on board have been informed of this “heartbreaking” news.

So basically they are finding a bunch of unrelated stuff in the water down there. And the mainstream media are finally starting to realize that the oceans have basically become the world's toilet. I know one thing for sure, they will never find the majority of the pieces of that plane in one general area. If you've ever been dropped in the middle of the ocean to scuba dive, you know just how strong the currents are. They can be 1 to 2 mph. When I was dropped off by boat and under the water for 45 minutes, when I surfaced the pickup boat would be a good half mile away from the original location. Think of how far the floating pieces of a plane can drift in a three or four week period. They could be 750 miles or more from where they went in. They might possibly find the main fuselage, but it wouldn't surprise me if this is never found, or maybe somebody by accident will discover a piece of the plane tangled in a bunch of seaweed ten years from now. It's impossible to predict anything with this mystery. All I know is the plane went down in what was probably the most or one of the most remote places on earth. Without the pings it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack... Or a hundred haystacks.

So, all of a sudden 18 days later, they claim the plane crashed in the southern Indian Ocean but there is no evidence other then a possible satellite picking up a signal or something. That is it. Mystery solved. The Malaysian Government should be totally embarrassed on how bad they have botched this whole situation. I don't buy this story for a second. Seems like a massive cover up or some other nonsense....

Then add in water depths of up to 3 miles....

People can't believe they haven't found it. I can't believe they think they will!

Mother Nature is going to win this battle.

Water depths of up to 3 miles, a target area that is between 1500 and 2000 miles offshore, and ferocious, typhoon stirred seas, and I also would be stunned if they ever find that plane.

Or really more of just incompetence not so much a cover up. They are just flat out not capable of carrying out this operation.

I need evidence to believe something. In this case, there is no evidence to lift possible to probable yet, let alone solved.
