A Taco Bell employee in eastern Alabama has been fired after she refused to serve two uniformed sheriff’s deputies and then told them to leave the restaurant, officials said.

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said the deputies initially thought the cashier was joking when she wouldn’t serve them late Saturday night at Taco Bell in Phenix City, near the Alabama-Georgia border.

“They even asked her if she was kidding,” Jones said, according to the Opelika‑Auburn News. “Her response was, ‘No, I’m not. We don’t serve law enforcement, and you need to leave.’ ”

On Monday, Jones told The Washington Post that “in light of the controversy around the country, I was very disappointed in the treatment of the two deputies. We work very hard to treat people with basic respect and all we ask in return is that they reciprocate.”

Following an investigation, Taco Bell said the employee had been terminated — and the restaurant chain issued an apology to the Alabama deputies.

There is a great amount of over-reaction to such stories though, and to the people posting support for killing Police on Twitter.

They & this Taco Bell chick just people of very low intelligence who've been presented with the very First Stage upon which to maybe get real attention, what they crave more than anything and as I and PatsFan1283 have mentioned, a chance for them to play revolutionary, to pretend that they are Malcom X.

Also the Police shootings, when boiled down, are identical at their very base to other Mass Shootings or Murder Suicides in that a person has decided to commit suicide but elected to take as many others with them as possible, or to end the lives of specific others.

Killing Police creates the potential that less of the best qualified to Police elect to do that job, in the future, so thats a bad thing and a difference between killing police and random mass shootings etc. but beyond that, racist black attention whores and liberal dumbshits making noise on Twitter or in Taco Bells, best path might be to just ignore them, not give them any attention at all, that is since putting them Down like the dogs that they are is not an option.

Good Portion of those agitating against the Police and especially those calling for more killing of Police entirely KNOW (or at least "see" this as) an opportunity to gain an advantage in their future criminal activity. This is very transparent.

Can't blame a Criminal Black for trying to seize a chance to lessen Police Interference with their Gig, what they have CHOSEN to do with their lives....to be Criminals. I stopped eating at Taco Bell. The quality is so fucking low. The problem is that they have forced many other restaurants out of business with their cheap prices for garbage food. Fuck Taco Ball. This guy literally lied in order to steal money from black people. Is there anything more “white privilege” than a white guy acting like a black man to steal from real black people?

Also, this is the second person in the last two months to fake being black in order to game the system. If being white is such a privilege, if it’s such a “leg up,” why aren’t black people banging down the door to fake their birth certificates and race? Why do so many white people see “being black” as such an advantage? Could it be that maybe being a race-baiting, professional black victim is, like, super profitable? Just a thought.

“My family is heartbroken for the officers and their families,” Quinyetta McMillon, the mother of Sterling’s son, said in a statement released by her lawyers Sunday. “We are praying for them, city leadership and the Baton Rouge community. As my son Cameron and I have said from the beginning, all we want is peace. We reject violence of any kind directed at members of law enforcement or citizens. My hope is that one day soon we can come together and find solutions to the very important issues facing our nation rather than continuing to hurt one another.”

Sterling’s aunt, Veda Washington-Abusaleh, echoed that same sentiment in a tearful interview with Baton Rouge’s local Fox affiliate WGMB-TV.
“We are peaceful people,” Washington-Abusaleh said. “We don’t want no more bloodshed.”
Video footage of both Sterling’s death and the fatal shooting of another African-American man, Philando Castile, by a police officer in Minnesota a day later, set off nationwide demonstrations against racism and police violence. Though largely peaceful, tensions escalated after a sniper opened fire on police at a protest in Dallas, killing five officers.
While the Dallas gunman reportedly told police he was upset about the deaths of Sterling and Castile, officials have yet to confirm whether the suspect in the latest Baton Rouge attack was also motivated by the recent police shootings. However, Louisiana state police Col. Mike Edmonson said Monday that the shooter’s “movements, his direction, his attention” clearly indicated that he was “seeking out” police.

Washington-Abusaleh made clear that she and her family do not condone killing of any kind and urged those who seek to fight violence with violence to “leave, go home.”
“That’s how this all started, with bloodshed,” she said. “Now we have to grieve all over again.”
Sterling’s family, including his son Cameron, have been vocal advocates for peace in the wake of his death.
Last week, the 15-year-old Sterling told reporters in Baton Rouge that he believes the outrage over his father’s death should bring people “together, not against each other,” and implored those who protest to remain nonviolent.

“Protest in peace. Not guns, not drugs, not alcohol, not violence,” he said. “Everyone needs to protest in the right way, with peace. No violence. None whatsoever.”
Cameron reiterated this position during a televised town hall on race relations with President Obama, in which he called on the president to “help unite all the races of the world.”
