WELPPPP, another kick in the sack.... Had brazil in a futures bet to win it all, and laid off the game until literally the very last second. A friend of mine, who is usually very lucky, wanted some action on Brazil to advance -115, so I, like a dumb bastard added on.

Can't really complain. Even after seeing my father's look-a-like start Bernard over Willian, I should have digressed, but nope! Just leave the sniper wide open on a corner kick, then fold up like a beach chair thereafter.

As a dutch supporter... putting futures on them since 94, but not this year (france), they just might as well get there this year...

Going from +5k to -4k in a month is a total mush meltdown. FUCK COSTA RICA. FUCK GERMANY. FUCK BRAZIL....

Brazil vs Germany World Cup 2014: Mick Jagger blamed for team's shocking defeat

mick-jagger.jpg

Wednesday 09 July 2014

Mick Jagger has been blamed for Brazil’s crushing defeat against Germany, in which the team lost 7-1.

Of course, the dismal score had nothing to do with sporting aptitude – but rather was apparently caused by the Rolling Stones frontman, who watched the game at Belo Horizonte yesterday, cheering on the ill-fated host team.
Brazilian fans think that Jagger jinxes any team he supports, nicknaming him Pé Frio —which translates as “cold foot”, a term used to describe individuals who bring about bad luck.
His reputation as an unlucky charm began in South Africa at the 2010 World Cup, when he supported England, the US and Brazil in separate games – all of which lost their respective matches.

[h=1]Irish pub's World Cup promotion backfires after Germany scores 7 goals[/h]

It seemed like a good idea ...
Over in the Irish city of Galway, a pub known as The Roisin Dubh decided to attract customers by reducing the price of their German beer and Brazilian beer by 50 cents for each goal scored.

Of course, by the time Germany had put seven goals past Brazil, pints of Erdinger were almost free.
But although The Roisin Dubh likely came far from turning a profit on Tuesday, they're taking the backfire in excellent stride and offering the same promotion for Wednesday's semifinals between the Netherlands and Argentina.
One has to imagine that any losses suffered on Tuesday have been made up for with the publicity the pub is receiving.
