No, there is a 3rd place game, played the day before the final. The losers if each semifinal will play each other for 3rd.

correct. they did discontinue the 3rd place match in the Euro Cup however.

That was one of the craziest games I have ever seen in any sport. Germany put on a clinic. WOW just WOW. Anyway, made some $$$ which is cool. Whoever bet the final score being 7-1 just became a millionaire in 90 minutes. Must be nice. This sets up perfect for Argentina to do the same to Netherlands tomorrow. FIFA is pulling for a Europe vs South American final and well they just might have it... Only delete Brazil and insert ARGENTINA! See you all tomorrow for the plays

Except there would be no book that would take that... after a 5-0 score it's pretty much "the field", but still decent odds at that point... The person who had Germany to win NIL may have smashed their phone though.

Today's 2nd semi-final features the Netherlands vs Argentina. I said it before and I fully believe FIFA wants to see a Europe vs South American final.

With that said today's plats are as follows:

Argentina ML at +155 for .5 units
Argentina PK at -137
Argentina/Netherlands Draw at +222 for .5 units
Argentina/Netherlands Over 2 at -117 for 2 units

The third place game features the host country vs the orange from the Netherlands. Brazil coming off a regulation time blowout loss against the Germans and the Netherlands losing in pk's to Messi and the Argentinians. Since neither team can win the cup today it's about pride, especially for Brazil. I fully expect a solid bounce back effort today to leave Brazilians with a feeling of accomplishment in a high scoring affair.

On to the final game of the WC and this one is for all the marbles. Germany looks to write their names in the history books as they take on Argentina. Yesterday, I chose Brazil to win third place and they failed to show up. That will not be the case with the Germans today. Too much skill, talent and raw ability. They will seize the day and be crowned FIFA WC Champions 2014!
