Sunday Brandon Lang
My 100 Dime selection is Dallas over Philadelphia. The current line on this game is -2 in Vegas and offshore at 7:30 am eastern. Be sure to shop around for the best line available. If this line should happen to move to anywhere from -3 to -4 1/2, I do advise on buying the half-point down.
ANALYSIS
The team that wins this game is the one that will cover the number.
That team will be the Dallas Cowboys.
In the first meeting between these two in week 7 on a Sunday night in Dallas, the Eagles were dominated wire to wire 37-10.
And that was when the Eagles were healthy.
Now they arrive in Philly a confident football team after blasting the Rams last week 44-21 in their most dominant win of the season.
And they should be confident in this stadium considering they have 5 of their last 6 trips here and head coach Jason Garrett is 7-2 in this stadium.
The Cowboy's Ezekiel Elliot has never lost to the Eagles as he is 5-0 against the them in his career and in those 5 games he has averaged 163 yards from scrimmage.
Now I understand the hoopla about Dak Prescott and his injury and him being a little banged up means they will probably feature Zeke even more.
As for the Eagles, they have gotten themselves in this spot with back to back wins at home over the Giants and on the road last week at Washington.
However, the sheer struggle Philly had in those games, against two really bad football teams, to just win the game is very alarming to me.
This is a Cowboys team that boasts the #1 total offense in the NFL is going against a Eagles defense that has been shredded by lesser offenses.
I mean, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins destroyed them for 37!!!!!!!
At the end of the day Dallas is the better team, the more talented team and it is them and not Philly that has a realistic chance to win a couple of playoff games.
Rock solid numbers surround the Cowboys here.
They have covered 4 straight against these Eagles, are 6-1 ATS last 7 meetings in Philly and the favorite is 7-1 ATS last 8 meetings overall.
They are 9-1 ATS last 10 games after allowing 250 yards passing in their previous game and 16-5 ATS last 21 versus the NFC East.
