im done with this. let the pats and their fans enjoy whats rightfully theirs. well see if brady and the dynasty talk can live up to the hype and specualtion in the coming years.

if the pats and brady can repeat ill be the first to give them praise and kudos and just agree with everything newport says. theyve got to win back to back for these comparisons to have a degree of credence.

not likely, montana didn't throw a pick in 4
games... that's legendary status.

not sure of phil simms's stats but would think
brady would be a more workmanlike match to him.

yup. the 89-90 season.

Montana took the 49ers to a 14-2 record. San Francisco won its postseason games by 28, 27 and 45 points (55-10 over Denver in the Super Bowl) and Montana completed 78 percent of his passes for 800 yards, 11 touchdowns (five against Denver) and no interceptions.

Exactly. Montana would have carved up Carolina for a 50-14 victory. Brady is a average quarterback in a salary-capped parity league. The Patriots couldn't cover in a game the 49ers would have won by four touchdowns. Brady deserves credit, but don't go overboard.
