good fight, close fight....don't think he got robbed at all. you can't pitter patter your way to beating an unbeaten. Didn't have a bet or rooting interest but Jacobs could have hit him all night and not made a mark on GGG's face

I guess you really got to beat the champion, they need to have the scoring automated via chips in gloves measuring power etc, cause human judgement is not getting this correct.

maybe so, but I think a Champion should be fighting a little more than he did.

If they truly go by Points won, I would say Jacobs had more points.

Doesn't matter, like Chazz said , this is why Boxing isn't what it use to be.

I think it's a big joke like many believe..

Don't watch much boxing anymore except the big events ... and only watch this because of my buddy.

Did Jacobs beat the guy to a pulp ?? No, but he landed more punches and that should count for something.
it's not like they were baby punches...

for those that wanted a less biased opinion of the fight than the fellas in this thread a really good round by round at LA times at http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...cobs-round-10-close-1489898745-htmlstory.html

heck of an effort by jacobs especially after getting put down in the 4th. thought both fighters were very cautious though ... if there's a rematch I hope they stop respecting each other's power and actually toss some big shots. final stats show Golovkin landed 231 vs Jacobs' 175 total punches. Jabs were 105 landed for GGG, just 31 for Jacobs. That's not good work rate for either

Jacobs landed 175/541 32.3%
GGG landed 231/614 37.6%

he only landed more punches than GGG in 2 rounds all fight and 4th round was a clear 10/8 with knockdown and stats

I even said during the fight I thought jacobs would lose and was getting tired.

as far as the LATimes, that's their opinion

Bet all sports: I agree watched whole fight, my eye test said Jacobs won the match. Jacob's corner kept saying jab side to side and move, go for swollen face. They did not want him mixing up too close with gennady.

that 4th round was damaging. ggg smashed this dude. it made any progress in 1-3 disappear.

I thought triple G won the fight, close decision. Even if you saw it the other way, it was nothing too egregious. Close fight.

Definitely think the fight proves that moving up to face a Ward/Kovalev would probably be too big of a leap for him. Would've liked to see that.

I thought given triple G's struggles that Canelo might finally come to the table but that doesn't look to be the case based on what De La Hoya said.

Not really a ton more for him to do at MW.

Great fight. Wouldn't have argued had Jacobs won via decision but I thought GGG did enough to win. His punches were much heavier and I don't think Jacobs hurt him at all. The undercard fight was incredible. I think the wrong fighter was given the nod in that matchup.

Both fights from the card deserve rematches.
