lol someone's smokin' da pipe!
in all seriousness, maybe it would make a difference for a smaller film with a tighter line, but, this line could end up being 5 million off.
"Here I am. Here the Block Report
Evergreen (in a 108 seater)
2:05 - 16 admits
4:35 - 6 admits
7:00 - 9 admits
9:30 - 9 admits
11:55 - 4 admits
Only 44 admits total. Big flop is in store.
End Of the Century (155 seater)
2:15 - 11 admits
5:00 - 14 admits
8:00 - 56 admits
10:45 - 34 admits
Total of 115 admits. Not bad for a movie with no fanfare.
Cellular
3:10 (231 seater) - 12% full.
4:20 (399 seater) - 6% full.
5:40 (231 seater) - 26% full.
6:50 (399 seater) - 14% full.
8:20 (271 seater) - 62% full.
9:30 (399 seater) - 43% full.
11:00 (271 seater) - 76% full.
11:55 (399 seater) - 20% full.
We sold $10,517 in tickets. Not bad, at least we did better than Paperazzi and Wicker Park last Friday. I see this in the 7-9 million area for the weekend.
Resident Evil 2
2:10 (576 seater) - 10% full.
3:00 (576 seater) - 10% full.
3:50 (399 seater) - 21% full.
4:40 (576 seater) - 22% full.
5:30 (576 seater) - 13% full.
6:20 (399 seater) - 42% full.
7:10 (576 seater) - 27% full.
8:10 (576 seater) - 78% full.
9:00 (399 seater) - Sold Out.
9:50 (576 seater) - Sold Out.
10:50 (576 seater) - Sold Out.
11:40 (399 seater) - Sold Out.
12:20 (576 seater) - 85% full.
$28,567 in tickets sold. Very Good, though not robust. I see a 9-11 million opening day.
All in all, it was pretty pale with Resident Evil having all the balls in the air. In fact, Resident Evil took up 47% of the 7380 admits we had today, which shows that the rest of the movie hardly registered. Though a late show of Napolean was near full in a 157 seater, and one Wicker Park was 2/3 full in a 186 seater (though the rest of the shows did hardly anything). Though this was better than a typical September. It was certainly better than last weekend, which did only 6400 admits on that day.
