in all seriousness, maybe it would make a difference for a smaller film with a tighter line, but, this line could end up being 5 million off.

"Here I am. Here the Block Report

Evergreen (in a 108 seater)
2:05 - 16 admits
4:35 - 6 admits
7:00 - 9 admits
9:30 - 9 admits
11:55 - 4 admits
Only 44 admits total. Big flop is in store.

End Of the Century (155 seater)
2:15 - 11 admits
5:00 - 14 admits
8:00 - 56 admits
10:45 - 34 admits
Total of 115 admits. Not bad for a movie with no fanfare.

Cellular
3:10 (231 seater) - 12% full.
4:20 (399 seater) - 6% full.
5:40 (231 seater) - 26% full.
6:50 (399 seater) - 14% full.
8:20 (271 seater) - 62% full.
9:30 (399 seater) - 43% full.
11:00 (271 seater) - 76% full.
11:55 (399 seater) - 20% full.
We sold $10,517 in tickets. Not bad, at least we did better than Paperazzi and Wicker Park last Friday. I see this in the 7-9 million area for the weekend.

Resident Evil 2
2:10 (576 seater) - 10% full.
3:00 (576 seater) - 10% full.
3:50 (399 seater) - 21% full.
4:40 (576 seater) - 22% full.
5:30 (576 seater) - 13% full.
6:20 (399 seater) - 42% full.
7:10 (576 seater) - 27% full.
8:10 (576 seater) - 78% full.
9:00 (399 seater) - Sold Out.
9:50 (576 seater) - Sold Out.
10:50 (576 seater) - Sold Out.
11:40 (399 seater) - Sold Out.
12:20 (576 seater) - 85% full.
$28,567 in tickets sold. Very Good, though not robust. I see a 9-11 million opening day.

All in all, it was pretty pale with Resident Evil having all the balls in the air. In fact, Resident Evil took up 47% of the 7380 admits we had today, which shows that the rest of the movie hardly registered. Though a late show of Napolean was near full in a 157 seater, and one Wicker Park was 2/3 full in a 186 seater (though the rest of the shows did hardly anything). Though this was better than a typical September. It was certainly better than last weekend, which did only 6400 admits on that day.

30 million is probably way out of reach now. More like 25 million. Would have made 26 million if it wasn't for that dang crappy weather in Florida.

"Friday:

RESIDENT EVIL 3 screens: Approx $21,000 (7k per)
CELLULAR 2 screens: Approx $9,000 (4.5k per)
HERO 2 screens: Approx 3.5 (1.75k per)

RESIDENT EVIL sold out every show (in 300 seat auditoriums) past 7:30. CELLULAR sold out 1
show in a 300 seat in the 9:00 hour. No show of RE2 did less than 50 people.

If this roughly applies nationwide at megaplexes it's looking like RE2 will open somewhere between UNDERWORLD and ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO."

That is only one theater. Cellular could still do better. I need it to hit 10.5 - 16 m.

I figured hey, two theaters are a good data pool for our survey, right? anways Cellular might not be getting good crowd reports but it could still be doing better than it seems, as it's been doing pretty well in the Yahoo reviewathon. I think one person said it had a chance to do around 15 million.

So Gil, you prediected Cellular woudl make 10.8 million, and you bet that bracket anyways? so it's gotta pass 10.5, you're playing with fire dawg! of course those limits at Intertops are for pussies, too bad they don't raise the limits to like 5 dimes. I'd be all up on that shit like a Raiderfan to a gang-fight.

It is getting good reviews, so you never know. My girlfriend like the trailer... so did a few other people I asked. I was getting my haircut today, and some chick next to me (i was in a salon) after I asked if anyone had seen the trailer, told me she like the looks of it. She then asked if I would take her to the movie. I laughed. maybe if i was single...

maybe if the movie didn't suck so bad it would have made more. I walked out of it about 1/2 hour into it. One of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. It turns out that my origional opinion was correct, the movie was complete shit and it ended up being front-loaded. You should know better than to take my picks by now dude!
