50 percent full in the afternoon, not bad. And people like it? Some people liked AVP as well.

"1:20pm show
The Brige Theater De Lux in Los Angeles
50% full
No Snacks (but the lady sitting next to us was gheto bringing in pop secret and bottle of diet coke from home)

Movie: I really liked it. Good enough story. Good acting. Good effects. Will get good WOM because everyone leaving the theater was saying "damn that was scary"

My girlfriend almost broke my hand she was squeezing it so hard, and last night she was laughing threw the first film while we watched it at home in the dark...so it was pretty good.

Go see it. "

here's another guy that liked the Exorcist:

"Movie: The Exorcist Beginning
Time: 9:50pm
Theater: 300 seater, 85% full

Crowd reaction: Good, I think the crowd mostly liked the film. Lots of jumps during the scary parts followed by nervous laughs. Comments on the way out ranged from "stupidest movie I've ever seen" to "scared the hell out of me" and "just plain weird shit."

My take: Well, I don't think I've ever seen a worse movie. Honestly, The Exorcist Beginning was one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. Aside from a few cheap thrills, I hated ever second. It wasn't thrilling, it wasn't scary, it wasn't deep or filled with any religious meaning - no, it was just plain poor. Every poorly acted and delivered line, every fumbled camera shot, the poor direction, the downright stupid and predictable plot twists - the movie was horrible. Easily the worst film of the year so far. Even as a camp film that's bad for the sake of being bad, Exorcist Beginning fails miserably. The violence and gore wasn't enjoyable like in Freddy vs Jason or disturbing like in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - it was just plain disgusting. I didn't come to a horror film to see children ripped apart by wild dogs and shot at point blank with their blood pooring out on the ground. I've never been disgusted and angry about violence in a film, but The Exorcist Beginning went way too far with what it showed. One sick -=-=- made this movie, and I'm glad I bought a ticket to Open Water and snuck in so the makers of this trash didn't get any of my money. Overall, 0/10.
"

not a whole lot of crowd reports tonight, seems as though nothing is doing that great. It also seems as thought the Exorcist is going to out-gross Open Water.

yeah, the way those comedies have been doing though, I figured it would be more of the same.
