Bourn, impressive results, do you use a system or do you just know a helluva a lot about hockey?

I don't know shit about hockey. I couldn't name 3 players on any roster other than the Stars. That stuff doesn't matter to me. It's all about numbers. I've been betting and looking at hockey scores for 15 years. I have a system in my head. I talked about this in 2006 when I joined this site and was killing it with hockey totals. There are over teams and under teams. And then you have what I see as middle teams. When an over team plays a middle team I take the over. When two under teams play each other I take the under. When an under team plays a middle team I take the under. When I look at the matchup I instantly know what side of the total I will take or to just lay off. A lot of match ups i see there is no advantage as it could go either way. Example of 2 under teams would be NYR/Mon. The total would be set a 5 and I instantly know to take the under. It will probably land on 5 the majority of the time, but the advantage would be to take the under as opposed to the over. Sometimes teams go from middle teams to over teams or vice versa. Example this season would be Anaheim. I use to have them as an over team, but now they are an under. This may seem crazy to most, but it works for me. Calgary has notorious been an under team in the past, but they moved to over team. The beauty of my perception of these teams is it takes me no time to figure out what side to take. And the results are what you see.

Interesting. So do you look at the offensive and defensive side to decide what to qualify a team as. For example Buffalo is a sucky team and doesn't score much so maybe they are Under as an offense but they give up a lot of goals too so maybe they are an Over defensively so how would you classify Buffalo then?

Outstanding question. Buffalo is an under team. This goes back to what I was saying about the matchup. It's all about the matchup. Buffalo playing Boston for example. The total would be set at 5 and the play would be under. Buffalo should be played under every time or not olayed at all. A couple days ago Buffalo played Pitt (over team) and I layed off the total because the possibility of a 4-2 Pitt was high. Buffalo is unique as they just don't score much. Buffalo last 10 are 0-7-3 O/U. You will never see me play a Buffalo over.

I'll give you 2 examples of upcoming games where no line has been set yet

NJ/Min - The total will be set at 5 and the play is under. NJ (under team) Min (Under team)

Pit/NYR - The total will be set at 5.5 and the play is over. Pit (over team) NYR (middle team)

The NYI have notoriously been an over team in the past. Lots of goals scored in their games. But if you look at their recent games they have been struggling to put the puck in the net. So, I've been laying off their games.

Great over teams right now and have been are TB and Tor. But, you have to look at who they are playing to know when to take them for the over or just lay off.

I agree with you here. At the beginning of the season I was getting killed until I started running a system similar to what you mention here. Definitely seeing better results. It just seems if A team can score more often than not they will put up there goals and vice versa for teams who don't score a lot.

Not looking too good? Besides Pitt PL everything is where it should be. Thanks for stopping by, though.
