Great way to go into the break. 29-13 this week. I will update tomorrow if I get involved with the derby.

Julio Rodriguez to beat Corey Seager in round one (-150), 1*
Soto to win the HR Derby (+550), 1*

There are different prices at each book so be sure to shop around. Good luck!

Julio Rodriguez highest exit velocity over 112.5 mph (-120), 1*
Pujols under 18.5 home runs (-130), 1*
Rodriguez to win the home run derby (+850), 1*

J-Rod has the number one average exit velo in the league, so I think it is very reasonable that he goes over this number. I have very low expectations for Pujols. I decided to go this route as opposed to laying a very high number with Schwarber in round one. I could see Acuna and Alonso going at it hard in round one and having to put up big numbers to try and beat their opposition. If I am right about Rodriguez, he will be waiting for the winner and be more rested as I think his matchup is before Alonso's in the first round. Even if it isn't, I still believe he is live. He has talked about wanting to win the derby, which isn't unprecedented for a rookie. Alonso won it his rookie year most recently.

I think that was the least I could have profited, but I'm happy to pick up 3 units on the derby. Obviously I was pulling for J-Rod at the end, but I knew I was in the driver's seat once he advanced past Alonso. It would have been nice if Schwarber didn't choke in round one, but you could tell he got sucked into they mystique of Pujols and what was going on around him. Not sure if I will have anything tomorrow, I'll update if I do.

American League ML (-105), 1*

American League teams have won eight in a row. Their starting lineup is better and I like a bunch of their reserves. Those are the guys who really matter if the game is close late. Between JD Martinez, Bogaerts, Ramirez, Tucker and J-Rod, National League relievers will have to get some tough outs. I’ll take a look at MVP markets later. Good luck!

Only being down 5 units going into the second half, feels great based on where I was a week and a half ago. It’s not where I hoped I would be at the start of the year, but things change. I hope everyone enjoys their day off and stays cool. This heat is getting crazy.

Please don't take this wrong... but like the rest of the MLB world this game had to have got you laughing even with the loss

It was easier to laugh since I had a ticket on Toronto as well. We might not see that again all year.

Despite the Padres not scoring in the first five innings and the Pirates only scoring once, I lost both those bets. Happy to basically break even today with those results. Back tomorrow to close out the week strong.
