Good week for me, made four units. I would love to profit 20 units by the time the playoffs are over. Carolina has been favored in every game so far in this series and they have lost three of four. I think the Rangers know how important this game is despite having a 3-1 lead. If Carolina wins tomorrow, I expect them to win game 6 and all the pressure will be on the Rangers. I think NY wins a tough, physical game and advances to likely face Florida in the ECF. GL

Oilers to win their series (-110), 2*
I am happy to get in on Edmonton at this price after they were -280 at the beginning of the series. It is easy to call Edmonton the Maple Leafs of western Canada. There are certain similarities between those two teams to draw from. Putting that to the side, Edmonton is the more talented team. I think they will win game 4 which is a must win game for them. If they do, the series becomes a best of three and I will take the more talented team to win two of those games. The Oilers are -200 to win game 4. If you think they win that game and still believe they are the better team, betting them to win the series at -110 is more financially responsible in case you are wrong.

Great comeback by the Rangers. Fortunate winner there. When I bet Edmonton to win the series after they lost game 3, I thought they had a real chance to win games 4-6. Huge win from Edmonton last night. Finally an easy victory. I will not be hedging off my series bet tomorrow. If you bet Edmonton to win the series and want to hedge, you can bet Vancouver money line. If I bet the total tomorrow, I will post that. Otherwise, I will be hoping the Oilers pull this thing out.

Often times game 7’s are low scoring battles. I need Edmonton tonight for my series bet, so I would prefer the game is high scoring. That definitely benefits the Oilers. Realistically, this could be a grind like Panthers/Bruins was. Brock Boeser being out for Vancouver is helpful. But they still can win this game. If I didn’t have Edmonton in the series, I still wouldn’t be betting a side tonight. GL

I will probably play a bunch of overs in this series. Maybe these teams start slow with the slight rest, but they can make up for it in the final two periods. I think Dallas is a really good team. Oettinger is the best goalie Edmonton has seen in the playoffs. Dallas is a pretty complete team. I think they get it done. GL

I will keep betting overs in this series as long as I can get a fair price. I thought we would get some high scoring games in this series and I still believe that. I’m not going to auto bet overs in the other series anymore. I would either have to lay big juice on 5.5 or take over 6. I’m not saying I won’t bet another over in the Oilers series, but it won’t be every game going forward. The important thing for me is Dallas won again which puts my series bet in a good spot. As for tonight, I think both teams should have confidence in their offense and have a couple areas in mind where they think they can beat these goaltenders. Florida scored twice on the power play last game which is a good sign. The Rangers didn’t score on the power play, however they had some good chances and did score shorthanded. A couple goals with the man advantage would go a long way tonight. GL
