Best hockey lines?? Starts and ends with Pinnacle. You cannot beat the 10 cent line on the Canadian Line, the moneyline, and totals. Where else are going to find this? And they take up to 3 dimes a pop at each number..

If you like hockey, and you are not playing into Pinnacle, then you should have your head examined.. Hockey totals (10 cent line) at Pinnacle is the most beatable sports betting prop out there, hands down.. Hockey totals is very beatable, especially at a 10 cent line. Here in this city, some locals carry a 30 cent total line. The hold on a flat number hockey total (eg..total of 5) at Pinnacle are only 2% for the book.. And that is at the real price. .Now if you can also get a few cents off there, you can end up with a + hold in your favor.

Lets drop the puck.. NHL is around the corner..

BC Bets deals the Canadian Line and we'll take 5 dimes on the ice.

Of course, there's no sweat getting paid by us.

Yes...thanks for all the info.
Hockey is the best sport to win at, especially if you have the don best screen.
It announces the starting goalies 15 min prior to game time....very helpful at times.

I can see where people can find hockey to be boring, but the only explanation is it's a Canadian thing. If you did not grow up with hockey or did not grow up in Canada, then chances are, you will hate it. I will be honest with you, as a Canadian, I also find hockey very boring at times, as the game has really changed so much today and is not like it used to be. Players are bigger and stronger and there is just not much more room to move out there on the ice and it has become very dull with hardly anymore good scoring chances. I only follow it because I grew up with it, and it is talked about everywhere here and is a very big tradition here in Canada, especially Montreal, where they are NUTS over this sport.

Hockey is boring if you don't also fully understand it. For example, why do you think 98% of people tell you baseball is slow and boring? That's only because they don't understand it. You have to fully understand it to appreciate it. Just like hockey, if you don't understand what offside or icing is and why they are blowing the whistle every 36 seconds, then you will be lost and fall asleep. Hockey is a very strategic game, just like baseball, and if you don't understand fully why a player is in front of the net causing havoc or screening a goalie, or why a team is dumping in the puck and sending 2 forwards to forecheck, to try to manufacture a scoring chance, then you might as well turn the channel.

What I don't understand is how the goalie can score. Can anybody explain? The goalie from Edmonton from a few years back scored quite a few goals.

exilarch,

Sometimes in the last minute or so of the game, a team who is behind by 1 or 2 goals will pull its goalie so it can have 6 attackers on the ice. The downside is they have an empty net during this time, so if the other team gets posession, then they are screwed. Being down and near the end of the game they have little to lose, though, so many coaches use this strategy.

If the opposing goalie happens to get posession, he can just clear the puck down the ice and sometimes it goes into the empty net, giving him a goal.

Jay, you should have watched hockey in the seventies and eighties. Hockey hasn't been the same since Gary Bettman(Buttman) became the commissioner.
quote:
Originally posted by Jay Leno:
