I too have read this thread as if it were a comic book...My first thought was "Oh fuck..Bookie fukked up with this thread ..maybe a bit premature or should not have done it..

Second thought..Why do Skins and BigPig have to enter this guys children in the conversation:think2:..That should be off limits to any guy with a true sense of respectability..And yes, suggesting a parent is separated from his children is including his kids in the bashing. How do you think they would feel if you asked them?

Now I will crawl back into my hole..Not taking sides because I have no beef with the posters involved..sucha waste of time for full grown men with so much sports on tonight:drink:

To be honest, I hadn't responded to bookie's PM at EOG not because I was ignoring it, but because I was still thinking about HOW to respond.

On the one hand, the apology seemed sincere enough and I can understand a guy going through a rough time and letting his emotions get the best of him.

On the other hand, bookie's blind ignorant and hate-filled posts regarding an entire race of people seemed to extend further than just one day, which would've given him sufficient time to cool off and realize just how ignorant he was truly being.

So then the issue became how sincere the apology really was. Any Joe Blow can offer an empty apology after the fact.

As a result, I wanted to take some time to figure out how I'd respond. My initial reaction was to accept his apology and say I hope it wouldn't happen again, because I don't really interact with the guy on the forums and he hadn't been a crazy asshole like this in the past. But again, I wanted to take time to sort out all my feelings on the matter and then respond, because I'm straightforward and honest and don't say things I don't mean.

I'm certainly glad I waited to respond, as bookie's true colors have come out...again.

Oh, and as for him PMing me at SBR...that's funny. You can probably count the number of times I've visited and/or logged into that site on one hand, and I haven't been there in months. I think the last time I even visited was when someone directed me to 5 star bomb's thread about Jenn Sturger. So if he or anyone else messaged me in the past months, they've probably been waiting and will continue to wait for a while.

I also didn't realize I wasn't allowed to post or do anything at all until I responded to his PM. Sorry, next time I'll make sure I have my cable disconnected and my sportsbooks locked until I get back to you.

Anyway, like I said, I'm glad I didn't respond to bookie's PM right away with my initial reaction to his apology, as it clearly wasn't an indication of the kind of person he is. Rather, the indications are much clearer both in his racist posts and in this thread. To be honest, I think he was hoping one or both of us didn't respond, simply so he'd have the chance to "call us out."

I might have put the cart before the horse on that claim, as 400 is a lot...but nevertheless, I'm honoring it. I'm a man of my word, and like I said, it's more about getting bookie to put his money where his mouth is than anything else.

Instead of trying to get others to support you in this endeavor, though, why don't you scrape together the funds and send the $1000 to Ken on Monday? I'll do the same, then I'll start the process of trying to find 400 posted winners on here. If I can't, the dime is yours.

Don't try to pawn it off on someone else. From the sound of it, you could use the money.
