" So if you are a whore, and you think you're going to make a quick few bucks, by betting on a -2400 favorite, over the long run you will lose far more than you ever made in bonuses."
--------------

Not necessarily - it depends what percentage the bonus is, and what the rollover requirement is.

From what I've seen, when books offer ml'ss like -2400, there is usally a lot more vig built inot the lines. So assuming a 1x roll for a 5% bonus, 2x roll for a 10% and a3x roll for a 15% bonus and so forth. I think it would be more profitibale for books to encourage people to bet on -2400 ml's.

Guys,
Most of the -2400 chalk laying bonus whores are "hedging/scalping" out somewhere else ...

... as much as the "heavy chalk" will kill most people, it doesn't hurt the average bonus-whore ONE CENT.

You're not going to find many scalp opportunities when laying big chalk. The bigger the chalk, the harder they are to find.

The only right way to calculate rollover is using the risk amount. That is what the player is betting. That is what they could lose. Using the smaller of risk or win amount is misleading at best, and increases the rollover requirements substantially.

If a book wants to use higher rollovers then do that, but don't do it in a sneaky, misleading way by not counting the amount risked towards the rollover.

Ninja,
Perhaps, but SIA & Gameday constantly have inflated Tennis dogs ...
it's easier than you think.
