Time for me to exit this thread.

.......I'm wasting my time with Nick. Hopefully I helped a few others out.

Nick, think about it this way....why not just use the FP in the way Fezzik suggests and do your straight bet with your own separate money. For example, with the $100 FP you can turn it overnight into automatic around $75 cash by "scalping" ML's. Then go ahead and turn around and use that $75 cash to try to win $68 on your straight play. How can that $68 not be better than $52 or $45 or whatever it is under your strategy?

As I said, Fezzik is 100% right about getting the best equivalent cash value out of your plays. If you read my first post in this thread, I wrote the exact same thing.

I use my Bonus Plays as straight plays because I don't play parlays. I know I could get maybe 10 extra dollars in cash equivalent per $100 Bonus Play out of each one if I wanted to scalp it out. Since moneylines are generally not allowed on these plays I don't see how to get $25 or $30 as has been suggested, but that is relatively irrelevant. What is relevant is that value expectation means FAR LESS on something like a Bonus Play because they come up so rarely.

Be careful you don't rock the matchplay for too much. A nickel on that boxing draw to win 15 dimes might really torque them off if it hits.

Unfortunately, that happened to me about a year ago: $300 at +3000 = $9k. Let's just say that was the end of my Matchplay days at 5D.

I might add, though, that Pinnacle was quite happy.
