there's no strong leadership from the free world any longer, our (read western civilization) enemies are emboldened

Damn, do you two have to keep this up in every thread of substance? State your point, back it up and move on. I would assume most people don't want to see you two arguing, crying, deflecting and complaining for pages and pages. It's difficult to stomach and the "ignore the thread if you don't like it" argument is nonsense. Hard to find one of substance without the two of you, or some combination, going back and forth like children.

as for the airliner, another tragedy, there are a lot of friends and families in a great deal of pain today. May they find the strength to endure, they're the ones suffering
it seems as if the plane was purposely shot down, but the aggressors thought they brought down a cargo plane (not sure why they would be happy about that either)
did Russia order this? no but they're behind the uprising and the plane was shot down by people they support in the same vain as the Iranian and Syrian support for Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel. Putin has blood on his hands. He's been a rogue leader for several years now, and we need to stop giving him money. But we never seem to make the right decision, and that particular problem predates our modern day buffoon.
