Come on people, the only way he would have a billion is if he sold the business to someone crazy enough to pay a high multiple for it. No one would buy for anywhere near a billion unless he stayed around and promoted it and I suspect he would rather take the money and run. Calvin's a smart guy, did things in ways people never comprehended and has made himself a success as a result and everyone else in the industry and likely the government want to take shots at him as a result.

Would he fight deportation to Canada?

If the US government puts pressure on our government, Ayre might find himself the target of a warrant upon landing here (presuming there is a search of his home, presuming the US gov't is behind it in the first place, or cares at all about him.) Bodog's marketing offices are all still in Vancouver, after all, so I would think he makes routine visits up here all the time.

The US gov't has a long history of trying to get our feds to 'give up' our citizens for American arrest. Some guy they dub the 'Prince of Pot' is fighting extradition right now, for example.

Don't forget he has a host of other businesses outside gambling, including a music label. Who knows? Maybe he really is worth that much.

On a side note, one of the biggest reasons I can think of for not playing at Bodog has to be seeing this guy's mug all over the place. He's a good enough looking man, but GEEES what a narcissist!

If the US put a warrant out for him, then tried and convited him for his crimes, would they be able to sieze all of his money?

I personally think the guy is a first rate idiot for putting his picture out there in commercials and such. He is basicly telling the U.S gov't "Here I am, nothing you can do about it" In a day in age where warrants are no longer required to do wiretaps, it is just a matter of time before he is arrested and brought to justice.
