Ahh I see,I didn't know they had the online thing going on.In my area and others areas of the country that I have been,I have only seen the Red Box.So is it only the stores that are shutting down then?

Correct.

The "BlueBox" (blockbuster express) has just started showing up in my area.

But the online deal has been going on for at least a couple years now.

blockbuster online has been horrible lately, sending like disc 5 of a tv show when u have requested it to start at disc 1, not even telling u when they have mailed a disk, mailing u the same disc u just returned to them..... etc

also limiting the in store exchanges to 5 or less a month is blah

Little known but true fact.
BlockBuster editted a lot of racy nude scenes from 'R' rated rentals which irked a lot of cutomers.

That's what I've heard too. That really surprised me. Back in the 80's and 90's I used to spend the Monday of every 3-day weekend renting International films that were racier than American films.

I read somewhere that one of the problems Blockbuster had was when they stopped charging a late fee. It seems they really cleaned up on that. Once they stopped they lost a lot of money.
