Wednesday, August 19

Philadelphia -153
Philadelphia/Boston F5 OVER 6 (-118)
Philadelphia/Boston OVER 11 (-111)

Same systems as the previous 2 days. Don't see a 1st Inning price yet. Arrieta doesn't give up runs very often in the 1st inning, Kyle Hart is a young starter that got shelled last time. Tempted to go Phils TT O6.5. Don't want to get cute, so we'll just ride this system the way its written.

Philly a RF that didn't have the lead last game thru 6 and won the game.

Afternoon games posted later.

I'm seeing a YES (1st inning score) for -145.

Lay off, Biz?

Its value up to -170, so I wouldn't say its a bad play. But since 2018 Arrieta has had a scoreless 1st inning (both teams) 33 times and 25 times one of the teams has scored. Obviously less than 50% someone scores. Bo Sox starter a young kid with little data. He did get shelled last game.

So you are probably counting on the Phils to get on the board in the 1st inning. Obviously Arrieta can give up a run too.

I'm passing based on the Arrieta numbers. Look, if someone scores it won't shock me. If someone scores it helps the other two bets and when there is no 1st inning score in an Arrieta start the Over still hits half the time.

Sounds good! I'll lay off myself, especially on that juice.

Hey, if they score in the 1st inning, that'll only benefit us with the overall runs scored. That's the way I look at it.

Exactly, if we miss a 1st inning win it only helps the other 2 wagers

And the Phillies score right away.

Right now I should just blindly play everything

I did play that score in 1st.w-thumbs!^..one plus about peanuts is it doesn’t hurt too bad to play -145 (even though it is all relative to your bankroll)

F5 innings is a push so far....
Hopefully Red Sox bullpen comes in and blows chunks.

Bogaerts 1/3 one out for the win and he strikes out, no confidence Moreland can hit a lefty

Boegarts could've got us that winner, man on 1st & 3rd and 1 out......but of course....he strikes out.

I've never seen this in MLB in my many years i've been watching.

Players cannot get the runner to score from 3rd, with 1 out or less. It baffles me!! It's all about the LONGGGG BALLLLLL these days! Nobody knows how to play small ball anymore. Kinda sad.

Let's go PHILLIES!!! Make a comeback here....

I have said this for quite some time, everyone wants to jack a HR. It makes for extremely boring baseball.

I grew up in the 70's and have watched baseball for 50 years. I loved a good 3-2 ballgame where every hit and run mattered. I loved watching the Whitey Herzog Cardinals/Royals with their aggressive style of baseball. Guys legging out triples on balls into the gap. I went to around 70 A's game per year and every playoff game in the 70's. I grew up watching great pithing, defense, fundamental, aggressive baseball.

I am all for analytics, but there are still situations that call for old school baseball. Runner on 3rd less than 2 outs, with 2 strikes you have no business swinging out of your ass. No business trying to pull everything. Shorten up, make contact, get the runner home.

For me, there is no excitement watching a guy trot around the bases or walking back to the dugout.

Now get off my lawn.

LOL you are damn right about everythign you said. I grew up in the 80's....so i feel where you are coming from.

Rooting for your A's! Love that team. Maybe the A's & White Sox can meet this year in the pennant....that would be great!

Now c'mon Phillies for the comeback!!!

Twins did a suicide squeeze on Monday, it was fun to see some small ball from them.
