Huge Loss yesterday. It happens. We're talking about underdogs, after all.

0 of our 6 underdogs won yesterday. This happens with underdogs, but thankfully not too often, and not as often as one would think with an underdog strategy. It last happened back on Sun, April 7 of this season,.
As I was developing and testing this system over the entire 2018 MLB season 6 losses in a single day only happened 8 times (just over once a month): May 20, May 25, June 14, July 22, Aug 3, Aug 17, and Sept 22. This works out to about 6% of the time.

2 of our 6 underdogs won yesterday, still a loss on the day, but not too bad.
Still, it’s our 5th straight day with a loss (they’re underdogs, so that’s why I recommend a good sized bankroll, to cover these kinds of things), so I went back and looked at 2018, and the system didn’t have 5 straight days with a loss all of last season, so this losing streak is definitely an outlier/anomaly.
The system is essentially in a waiting game with the underdogs, at this point. We’ll have a good day soon - it’s just a question of when.

Still, it’s our 6th straight day with a loss (they’re underdogs, so that’s why I recommend a good sized bankroll, to cover these kinds of things), and as I mentioned yesterday, in 2018 the system didn’t have 5 straight days with a loss all of last season, so this losing streak is definitely an outlier/anomaly.

1 of our 6 underdogs won yesterday, so we’ve hit our 7th straight day with a loss. Losing streaks happen.


But, this is unusual - 4 days was the longest losing streak last year as I was testing and tweaking this system.


However, now that we’ve hit 7 days and delved into our original bankroll for basically the first time this season, some losing streak and recovery tactics I designed last year kick in to wait out more of the losing streak and build our bankroll back up when things go back to normal.

As a data geek, I find an anomaly like this intriguing (in 2018, the longest losing streak this system had was 4 days, and it only happened once) as it gives me more data to continue tweaking this system to make it better.


Hitting 0 of 6 games only happened 8 times last year, but has happened twice in the last 7 days.
