I'm a Republican and you have never heard me talk about socialism. I just said where the popular Obama term "spreading the wealth" comes from. It's a big time socialistic idea, period.

I agree it is a socialistic idea, and I don't like it. But you are up in the night if you don't think that McCain clearly shares, or has some of his own, socialistic views/stances.

And that's exactly why I don't think McCain was the best GOP candidate. But it's what we were given and we just had to roll with it.

Socialism fucking sucks.

Can you tell me why we don't use a flat tax? If everybody paid the same percentage wouldn't that appease both parties? If not, why?

I like the idea. Rich people buy more stuff and would pay higher taxes. We would also collect taxes from most illegal enterprises as well. Drug dealers, prostitutes, gamblers all buy stuff and few pay taxes on their incomes now. An 18% across the board consumption tax with exceptions for a core list of items for survival as agreed upon by both parties would be awesome and fair. Why wouldn't it work? Because the bottom 50% of wage earners in America pay little or no income tax now. Why would they agree to the 18% idea?

Obama is known to be the most liberal senators in the senate. Democrats would even tell you this.

I am not denying that even though that is an obvious broad generalization. I have a senator here locally who is a democrat and has been in the senate a while in a very conservative voting area. The reason he does not get thrown out on his ass for being liberal is because the dems play with his vote.

If he is not needed in a close vote he will vote with the republicans or abstain.

That does not make him conservative, it makes him a politician.

<!-- / message -->
You fuckin ring dings. That 200k or 250k is just a smoke screen. To do the things he wants to do the tipping point for this about 75K.

For every corporate gajillionaire that the left bitches about, there are about a million small buisness that blow away 250k+ a year.

You guys are fuckin loopy. What they have to pay in taxes they will make up in layoffs and prices of products going up.
Obam plan and him is a giant ponzi scam.

Mr. smart guy Uno please read this part of my post and tell me one thing that is there that is incorrect. thanks

Plus he and every dem complain about how all of our corporations are going overseas and leaving america and taking jobs and there money with them. Obama's brillant idea to counteract that is to RAISE THE CORPORATE TAX. If your a corporation and your in america, which already has the 2nd highest corporate tax in the world, and Obama raises your corporate tax how would that make you want to stay in america

What his dumb ass and other dems don't understand is a simple corporate policy that is 100% true...

CORPORATIONS DO NOT PAY TAXES EVER ON ANYTHING OR ANY LEVEL

What they do is once their taxes get raised they do 3 things:

1. lay off employees to compensate for the higher taxes
2. Increase the cost of there products they sell to compensate for higher taxes
3. get the hell out of the US to pay less taxes

Whether you like it or not this is 100% factual information on what corporations do and all 3 of those things lead to a weaker economy and the corporations don't lose a penny!!

True republicans are in NO way socialistic. McCain is not a true republican.

Stop acting like McCain is my boy. I just told you I'm not a fan of John McCain, but don't want the obvious socialistic idea in the white house.

Until John McCain says the phrase "spread the wealth" he is never going to on Obama's level of socialistic ideas. End of story.

Guys, you cant bash Obama and his socialism and defend McCain at the same time.

Sure I came in here calling OBAMA the socialist that he is.
He is a BAD BAD choice. But at the same time you cant come in here and defend the other socalist John McCain.

McCain is about as clueless as they come, I know its sad but true.

McCain spends 25% of his stump speaches preaching about pork barrel spending, and 2 days later votes on a socialist bill with more pork then any other bill in history.

If that dont tell you all you need to know, I dont know what will.

Just because someone is anti-Obama does not make him pro-McCain.

We are fucked in more ways then you can imagine, no matter who wins.

That is the sad reality.

Vote Ron Paul. At least you can leave the polling station with some dignity.

very true.

Too bad all the true republicans could not make it out of the primary.
This is no excuse to vote for the either one of the socialist though.

No...you must choose the lesser of evils...thats what politcs is about.

You never get the whole thing.

McCain will have a much better impact on Supreme court appointees as one example of many reasons to take the lesser evil.

Protest votes get you nothing.

Having the goverment buy into the banks is just as socialistic as spreading the wealth.

They are both socialist.

Its sad but true.
