I have thought about this game for a week, and I think that UGA matches up better in every area except the O-Line. I expect a 65/35 pass to run ratio in the first half to loosen up Terrance Cody. I really think that UGA simply has more skill players than Bama. I try to be as unbiased as possible when looking at spreads, but I really believe UGA wins by 14-17 here.

The question about the skill positions is the depth. It seems Alabama has more skill in depth than Georgia. Such as more running backs and more recievers.

Richt has stated that he will use zone blocking against Cody. Here is a great article about what UGA has done against Saban's defenses if anyone cares.

UGA has much more depth in the skill positions. RB's, UGA will use Caleb King and Richard Samuel. WR's we will use Mikey Moore, Kris Durham, Demieko Goodman, etc.
I really think Bama +7.5 was thrown out to attract attention, and it did. I could very well be wrong but I think Georgia brings the heat as this game might put them on top of the polls. Good game until momentum swings for UGA and they put it away. My initial reaction was Bama, and for that reason I like UGA a little bit more. 31-17 Georgia.
