a 'mediocre miami defense'?
really?
personally, i think the vols have a very good shot to win this week.
.... but to call miami's defense mediocre is silly.
it's one of the most aggressive and athletic units in the country.

We'll see as the season goes on. I think you may be remembering the "old" Miami teams. Last year their defense was horrible. This year is improved but far from one of the "best in the country". I don't think Florida is a physical team, but a finesse team so Miami looked better on D than they really are. We'll revisit in 6 weeks and see, you could be right. Glad you agree on the Vols.

miami's defense was very good last year. if they had any sort of offense over the last 3-4 years, theyd have been contending for a bcs bowl bid. unfortunately, their offense has been horrid starting with their inability to recruit a good quarterback. its left the defense on the field far too long. eventually, even good defenses will crack when the offense goes 3/out or their opponent field positions them to death and works short fields.

I am going to re-register and see if it works this time around.

I have had much "talk" that the FL side will be pounded.

Good luck today BB. I just wanted to bump this thread. It shouldn't be 5 pages back IMO.
