yes i go back a longer way then you i recall mantle maris very well also its the red sox yankee rivalry to me there are no other rivalries in baseball an sports that are more intense dramatic bitter competitive to me

Ted Williams was the real deal, there's even a story where he.was having a "down" year and he tried to give back some of his salary bc he felt guilty about it....
