I understand what his point was attempting to say..that the immigrants ruined the country. If that is true, then isn't it the people governing the country that are to blame for allowing this? Many benefit from it so I wouldn't really call it having no ability to consider the "what if" for all of them, they just don't care if it benefits them short-term. Especially the decision makers.

Who is going to stop them? Most GOP voters are largely accepting of it as long as you use the right Karl Rove GOPe wording and buzzwords with it. Only the most extreme aspects of it is there really even any talk about. You might get a cool bussing to Martha's Vineyard moment here and there that exposes the hypocrisy, but it isn't going anywhere in any major way.

I will say this, just anecdotally from what I've seen people say and think, the consensus from people that vote for both parties seems to be something along the lines of "Bomb the fuck outta them"

That did surprise me a little after Iraq, Ukraine, etc that people still immediately want retribution/endless bloodshed in situations like this. The typical Republican reflex to rally around Israel is strong. Guess old habits die hard.

Even Dems/libs seem to be trending that way as well besides some of the far left pro-Palestine ones.
