I personally think the $500 for best record should be applied to first or second place.
You play the season fighting to get into the playoffs & then anything can happen.
Best record already gets rewarded with a first round bye (if I recall correctly)

It's far more involved than 1 game in 18 weeks.
If anyone was turned off from our league, it would be because of how he interacts with others on a regular, consistent and non-stop basis within every forum and virtually every thread he posts in.
