Nothing against MW, but that would seem the case to me also.

Come on Shrink dont use the oldest back stab in the book " I was Told" if you were told that, then give names surely they wont mind if they are not paying him to be there. I dont know that I blame you but i think that was a free shot. but hell its your board right.

BHB you keep saying you dont have a contract, i think you need to spend the next $10,000 on a Lawyer. because if you two had an agreement, verbal or written and you sent monies and he put you on his site. YOU HAVE A CONTRACT.

just to play devil's advocate here (no pun intended)....

MW is in a no win situation here. In general, the main reason for giving discounts to a business who pays an annual fee up front is to "lock" that business into a contract for a year. Assuming that MW plans to keep the money (which I believe he should)...

1) If MW takes the BHB ads down - BHB goes around and says that MW are bad business people. Essentially BHB wouls say something to the effect of, "They kept the money for annual advertising and I have no ads. While I did decide that I wanted to stop advertising there, MW should pay me for what I didn't use." If you look into the previous threads about this BHB has already said something like this.
2) If MW leaves the BHB ads up - BHB says that he doesnt want to be affiliated with MW and wants the ads down. If MW goes this route, at least he can say that BHB "got what they paid for."

Bottom line, since there was no contract, it's an ugly situation where neither party will win unless they strike a deal and both decide to refrain from talking about it.

BHB...there's an idea. Why don't you and MW come to an agreement where you both keep quiet about the situation. (My guess you won't do it since you are standing on moral high ground with regard to MW lies about your friend...it is an idea though.) At some point you'll have to decide..is it more important for your banner to be off MW's site OR keep the option of bashing MW about his conduct with your friend....you decide. Seems like the only solution to me, since of course, a court of law and threats of violence is not an option.

A contract in this biz is worth less than the paper it's written on.

BHB wants off because Major has acted in bad faith against a book. All deals, contracts et al, are based on *good faith*. You can say all you want about Major looking out for the player. But anybody with a clue knows that he sure wasn't looking out for anyone but himself during the Camelot, Nab, Aces, Alladin and Securbuxx robberies. In fact, denied there would be issues with any of those robberies until they were forgone conclusions. He has provided no proof about Rio, but yet when he had proof on the aformentioned robberies, he was singing Silent Night. By no means does that mean that Rio doesn't have a debt, but only a SUCKER would take Major at his word.

It's obvious, Major won't pay them back because he's a thief, and more than likely, is broke due to lack of advertising and the reality of the books knowing they can stay on for free.

BHB has publicly stated they want off. Major whines about wanting a private e-mail. Why? A public statement is much stronger than a private one.

Bottom line is:
Whatever BHB motive for removal is, Major (a notorious liar who has had many chances to save the player and didn't) attacked a book (with no slow/no payment history) without proof, in a probable extortion attempt. Why wouldn't any of their advertisers feel they could be next?

I believe the majority of books do not pay to be on sites after a year or so of exposure. It makes no sense to them. It's the same players, year after year. IMO, other books aren't complaining because they're taking the FREE RIDE the Major is forced to give them.

major-

you are a worm. i repeat a worm. im so excited to tell the world that, i cant even take the time to capitalize my letters.

i have replied to your email. the one that staes how you will not refund the un-used portion of our $$$$.

and still - i want bhb down off your good for nothing site. you not returning the funds shows what a loser you are.

you have no contract. none whatsoever. your max price per month is 2k. you know it. i am not asking to pay a discounted rate. i am willing to pay full rate.

i prepaid the year in good faith that you would get bhb more players. you did not. i cancelled. period. you can keep the money you poor bastard. i promise you will lose many advertisers. in fact you will probably keep them up as to look like they are still with you.

we did not, and do not, have a year contract.

loser.

for all posters who think i am wrong because i am cancelling for childish reasons, sorry.

at least see the fact that the major said his cost was 2k perp month, or 15k for the year. we prepaid. now that we want down from his site, its his call as to whats fair. and any good business person would say that paying the full 2k per month is whats fair. and refunding the rest makes sense. again there is no contract that states otherwise.

for the ones who say im an idiot for not having a contract, guess what, half of the books there dont have one. russ was supposedly a man of his word. too bad i found out too late what so many already know.

enjoy the 10k loser, it will cost you more in the long run.

oh yah, where are we located. r u kidding. marketing is in costa, and wagering is in panama. like you dont know that. and if you didnt.......

why would you let us advertise with you.

you are scum, money hungry scum.

and as for you badmouthing rio. again. you are a scumbag. no proof. talking out of your ass. personal agenda. they spend more on payroll in one year than you gross in 5 years loser.

to all other advertisers with MW. i know some of you think my ways are unorthidox, its no secret. your right. but please make note of this-

if a "newer" book (one who has to be cautious of where and what they spend money on with regards to advertising) is willing to take their banners down from mw even though they wont get their money back. that should tell you something.

it should tell you that 9 more months of exposure on mw is worth nothing. because it would cost me nothing more to keep bhb banners up, and instead im taking them down.

look into how many accounts you get from there. there site is not worth it.

and if you ever stop advertising with them, they will bash you for years and years. unless you pay them to shut up.

watch dog site, you dont even know ehere were located russ.
