As strange or naive as it may seem, I, too, have seen it occur elsewhere. A former co-worker was always nice enough to help some people out, and there were always those couple who'd take advantage of the situation.
I don't think any less of him for getting stiffed. If anything, it says more about the deadbeats. So Kojak, it was nice of you to try and help out someone...and we do appreciate you sharing your story.
