Dinojs,

I haven't seen it in writing that they have the cash to pay all account balances. But if you call customer service and ask them this question, driectly, they will tell you yes. At least that is what the girl told me today.

Evidently, they also told the same thing to the OSGA representative last Friday.

I will admit, the management of WWTS is doing absolutely nothing to calm our fears.

What about a class action law suit on behalf of the stiffed bettors? I know these often make more money for lawyers than plaintiffs but 10% of something is better than 100% of nothing which is whatI fear we will get from the scum bags at WWTS>

It would take months to years to get 10 % back and they know that. My approach to this $$$ is like Social Security, It's there , I can log in and see it (isn't it painful too), but I know it's just an IOU.

How are the BetCorp Lawyers interpreting the law vs in the Sports Interaction thread are? Look at this history. Phone bets stopped in August, withdrawing was not an option even before Black Friday the 13th. Now they are in limbo. I jsut don't think there is a buyer out there willing to take on a book with 50-60000 accts that 80-90 pct won't trust them. TIME IS THE ENEMY, NOT OUR FRIEND HERE.

I agree. They seem to be trying to sell us on "We're not going to fuck you, but we are going to stick it in a little ways for a short while until we get what we want from other people." I don't buy it.

I have access to horse racing at my betwwts account. Which is useless to me. They seem to be operating with everything else. I'm going to be patient. I've never been stiffed yet in over 10 years. This would be #1.

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad time as I have thousands on a Detroit future to win WS. I would have to wait anyway.

Though I would want to hedge my bets if I could.

If non-u.s. account holders have access to their money (according to this forum), and they are still posting lines and in business. What am I missing? It looks good, so far? The bottom line is, if we get our money at any time, it wasn't any problem. Most would have lost money anyway. I will worry if I can't access my account, they stop doing business (lines, etc.) or non-u.s. don't get paid.

I called OSGA this morning and talked about the WWTS situation. He is in direct discussion with the GM there and here is the latest. Apparantly the ASX (austrailan stock exchange) and the LSX (london) have different rules regarding sales of a publicly traded company so they couldn't sell off immediately like others did. He did re-assure me that they are trying to get something done by Friday as they do not want to miss another weekend of action. I asked about their solvency and he did reassure me again that they have 'more than enough' to cover US customer accounts.

So IMO we are closer to an answer, but have no idea on a timetable. I am reassured though that the OSGA is on top of it and has been since Friday.

Thanks for the update, VegasWinner.

I am saying even money US players get 100% back. It is 50/50 at this point, in my mind. When BoS folded, I wasn't paying as close attention because I wasn't caught in that one, but I don't think I would have placed the odds anywhere near that high.

When are you taking their banners down?

If BetWWTS instructs us to do so, or if they default on player accounts, or if they fold completely.

Until that time, there are plenty of non-US BetWWTS players and would-be players who can view those banners. (Americans who click on them are immediately instructed of the circumstances, so we do not feel we are sending Americans to the slaughter, so to speak.) And, of course, we are contractually bound to these terms. The banners are paid for, after all.

At this time, we remain confident that BetWWTS will resolve this situation soon.

BREAKING NEWS! From Gambling911.com!

Betcorp to sell BetWWTS in next two days
A deal to acquire Betcorp's US facing brand BetWWTS.com is about 90% likely according to sources close to Gambling911.com. The party looking to acquire BetWWTS.com is one of the better known gaming firms.

An announcement was anticipated no later than Friday.

Betcorp has placed a hold on all customer accounts over the past few days during this transition period.

US customers would be welcome to continue playing at BetWWTS.com once the sale is completed. Meetings were taking place the past 36 hours in Toronto.

Across the street, they are saying the buyer is Calvin Ayre of BoDog.

Whew! I was sweating this one. WWTS had 1/6th of my entire bankroll.

Great, I just opened a bodog acct. But as long as I can get to my $$$ with some bonus incentives, this is the best news we could hope for.

Without an official statement from the parties involved, any answers we give to these questions would be pure speculation.

As soon as any information is made available and confirmed as accurate, we will post it here.
