Although I hate trying to predict what will happen in politics, I have a feeling if you are betting anybody other than Romney you'll be wasting your money. The republican base wants him. And what the republican base wants the republican base usually gets. These republican movements like the Tea Party and others are helpful in electing Congressmen, but when it comes to higher stakes offices like the Presidency, the people with the wealth and power ultimately decide the candidate.

This is a contradicting statement. The Republican base and the people with the wealth and power are two different groups. The base want nothing to do with Romney, but the people with the wealth and power are shoving him down their throats.

Far from decided as Romney just can't close the deal. He has lots of $$ but very little enthusiasm !

Funny this got brought up because I just heard today Romneys big funders are souring on him and may look to sneak Jeb Bush or Christe in as the nominee. Thanks to recently passed bs, they can do this.........should be interesting to see how it plays out. I still think Obama gets a 2nd term.
