Whatever the outcome of this instance, that's a bad rule and should undoubtedly be re-written. Unless they are intentionally looking to rob the player, I don't believe the rule was particularly well thought out.
Please allow any book at least an opportunity to rule on the situation like this one in the light of day. I know the top management at BetJamaica very well and the last thing they want to do is treat a player unfairly. I can't think of any other top guy who is fairer than Scotty at BetJamaica but he is not sitting there at his desk at 1AM on Tuesday morning ruling on scratches in the double at Mountaineer.
You can contact either Shayla or Herman at BetJamaica CSD tomorrow by email support@betjm.com or call 1-800-329-2909.
and I will assist you in getting an official ruling from upper management ASAP.
Late night CSD personell are sometimes restricted to simply following routine rules and don't have any leeway to make a decision when faced with an unusual result such as a double scratch in the second half of a daily double..
Just an update
I received a nice email and had a conversation with Scotty explaining what happened - as it turned out they use an outside horse provider who was giving them bad info. He refunded the bet and gave me a generous bonus for their error. After talking to him for the first time, I can see why everyone says that he is one of the best in the business.

There outside provider also gives you 300-1 on trifectas.
If you hit one for over that amount call them and receive
600-1 I hit the last one for $924 and the one before that
for $1540.80 Kind of tough getting capped at a lower pay!
Riverjack, glad to hear that all is straightened out. This incident is something players should remember that sometime late at night when grading may appear to be wrong (in this case it was) but before thinking all is lost we all should give the book in question the opportunity to review the result the next day when upper management is available to make a decision that your average late night CSD clerks cannot make. Basically everyone needs a little patience when an obviously bad grading result occurs late in the day. I don't mean to deman the late shift crews at books but sometime their hands are tied in these kind of situations.
Glad to see Riverjack that the obvious decision was renderd in your favor. Is this "Scotty" the same person that used to be at Bowmans, anyone?
