[h=3]New commissions for Matchbook bets[/h]
Matchbook lowers the commission on LAY bets!
Starting with the 1st of November Matchbook will apply the following commissions on both winning and losing bets:
Let’s say we bet on a match between Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Example of BACK Bet Commission
Commission on lay bets is slightly different as there are variations depending on the odds your lay bet was placed at. Commission on lay bets will always be 0.75% of the backer’s stake.
For example in the same game above you have layed Barcelona at 2.03 for €10, which gives you a liability of €10.30 should they win. Your potential profit is €10 so your commission if you win will be 0.75% of €10 or €0.075.
Matchbook doesn’t make money when you lose like a traditional bookmaker, it operates more like a trading platform with a a small 1.5% commission on Back bets – both winners and losers, and 0.75% on all LAY bets – also, both winners and losers.
It’s one of the reasons why the odds are so consistently good and is a system designed to make sure all bettors are treated fairly.
