Food and music are very subjective, but IMO life is too short to eat at chain restaurants. There are just too many great restaurants out there to eat corporate food.
thats the sound of the nail getting hit squarely.
eating at a lot of these chains is basically one step above cafeteria food.
the majority of it is microwaved and precooked. fish is frozen. meat is low grade. the only thing that's fresh every day at 90% of these places are the lemons that you might get in your iced tea. thats about it. the guys in the back arent preparing your food at all. theyre just opening packages and setting timers.
all that said, bonefish is a terrific place. but theyre really not a chain in the truest sense. their entire menu is very good. they could pass themselves off as a high end east coast seafood place. they also do a great job with the interior and ambience. very trendy and definitely an enjoyable experience.
