3. The White Stripes - (hard to narrow down which is best) White Blood Cells, Elephant, Get behind me Satan, De Stijl all excellent.

De Stijl is the best modern day rock album in my opinion. I think I like it so much because it's done very much in the spirit of Led Zeppelin. If you traded the voices of Jack White and Robert Plant you would have trouble telling the difference between the two. My favorite old school rock album still remains The Allman Brothers Band Live at Fillmore East.
