i know the movie, i own it. i wasn't saying exactly whose life was being bet on or who had money on who. I was just stating that if you consider playing russian roulette with your life or anyone's life a form of gambling, then i guess you could consider that a gambling movie. Yet that scene is only a small part of the movie.
DeNiro and Walken , or DeNiro in particularly is wanting the Viet Cong captors to increase his odds of blowing his or Walken's head off.
The Vietnamese are betting on which soldier is going to bite the bullet.
DeNiro wants more bullets in the gun so while the Veitnamese are slightly distracted while betting and the tension in the air , he can get off 3 quick shots and him and Walken can overpower them and escape.
